Irrigation facilities are the basis and support of agricultural economy.Beijing was the capital of the Ming Dynasty while Tianjin its neighborhood.This paper makes a study on the irrigation facilities for troops' farmland in Tianjin and its neighboring areas,as described in "A Record of the Ming Dynasty's Events",showing the efforts made by the then central government.
