| 摘 要： | 毛姆以擅长讲故事闻名，这大部分应归功于其作品中的第一人称旁观者的叙述角度。他对第一人称旁观者的叙述方式的偏好经过了一个探索的过程，并把这一技巧运用得出神入化。这样一位不是主角的主角在毛姆的小说中长存，显得真实可靠，以讽刺的、冷静的及疏远的方式呈现生活，赋予了作者“技巧大师”的名声。

| Abstract: | W.S.Maugham is famous for telling stories,mainly owing to the first person spectator narrative.The exquisite use of the narrative results from his exploration of other writers' works.The most prominent figure that is not the hero long lives in his stories,seems reliable,and presents the world in a cynical,calm and distant way,which endows him with technique master. |
