唐代端午节庆探释

唐代端午节庆的礼俗,宫廷与民间有共同之处,又不无差异:宫廷活动以互赠礼物为主,民间活动以南方竞渡为特色。这种差异,源自唐代宫廷较多地承继了北朝宫廷的习俗,而北朝宫廷则沿袭了传统的汉廷礼仪,其节俗意义重在避邪;民间的南方竞渡具有悠远的民俗传统,其意义已由祈禳而转化为人物纪念,被赋予了情感意义,充分发挥了节俗的娱乐功能。唐代宫廷与民间在端午礼仪上的同异,反映了在地理因素中南北历史文化发展的差异。

A Probe into the Dragon-Boat Festival in the Tang Dynasty

There is something different between the court and the folk about the etiquette custom in the Tang Dynasty: presenting with gifts in the court but boating in the folk. The etiquette custom of the court is from the Northern Dynasties which carried on from the court tradition of the Han Dynasty. It is for shunning something unhealthy. And in the folk the boating game is a long folk tradition that had turned the prey to the memory of Qu Yuan, which is more sentimental and stronger recreational. So this difference show the different historical culture between the Southern Dynasties and the Northern Dynasties.
