摘    要:国内外关于词汇习得理论的研究表明词汇习得的过程不仅仅是词汇量扩大的过程,即英语单词与母语等值词的对应过程,它还包括词汇语义化的过程以及语义网络的建立.它表现在学习者词汇能力中接受性能力和产出性能力的均衡发展.在介绍这一理论的同时,讨论了它对英语词汇教学的启示和指导作用,并提出一些可行性的指导方法.

Abstract:The study of vocabulary acquisition shows that the process of vocabulary acquisition not only lies in mapping the meaning onto the form but also involves that of semantization and the build-up of semantic network. Based on this theory, the article concludes that classroom teaching of vocabulary should follow its principles and in the meantime suggests some ways to apply this theory to classroom practice so as to develop students' lexical competence.
