| Abstract: | Based on a short discussion on the development of liberalism and a comparison of the language attitudes in China, the U.S.A. and the U.K., this paper draws the following conclusion: the tolerance of language liberalism is in direct relation with the liberal attitude of a nation. Language liberalism is the most serious in the U.S.A. and the least so in China. |
