| 摘 要： | 在对英语中的动物比喻进行翻译时,只有对动物在两种语言中喻义异同有深入的了解,同时以源语与译语之间的灵活对等为基础,灵活采用直译、直译加注、借译、意译等方法,才能使原比喻中的动物形象得以保留或转换,从而将源语中动物比喻所承载的信息最大程度地传递给译语读者.

| Abstract: | Animals are often employed as vehicles in similes and metaphors in language.Without a complete study of the differences and similarities between the denotation and connotation in English and Chinese animal words,the translator will not be able to master the figurative meaning of animals in the two languages.Only through a dynamic exploitation on different ways of translation such as literal,literal with annotation, borrowing and free translation,can the translator succeed in retaining the images of the animals in the figurative meaning,and transmitting the message from the source language to the readers of the target language. |
