毛滂思想与人品初探

北宋文学家毛滂推尊儒学 ,贬抑佛老 ;为学主张淡远名利 ,虔心向道 ;为文主张文以明道 ,有补于世 ;为官主张称职爱民 ,恩泽百姓。同时 ,在仕途困顿之际 ,又援引佛老 ,修治心身 ,涵养性情。他曾经是一位相当典型的正统封建文人 ,但是后来思想发生蜕变 ,导致晚年失节 ,人品有亏 ,造成千古遗恨。

COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF MAO PANG'S THINKING AND MORALITY

Mao Pang( ),a famous writer in the Northern Song Dynasty(960-1127 A D),advocated confucianism,but depreciated Buddhism and Taoism.He insisted on the following thoughts:a scholar should be devoted to confucianism,not seeking for fame or gain;a writer should write something beneficial to confucianism and the society;an officer should stick to his post and love his subjects and do a favor for his people.However,he changed his stand to support Buddhism and Taoism when Mao Pang found hismself in a woeful predicament of official career,and cultivated his heart and nature,and moral character.He had even been a quite loyal,typical confucianist.But in his later years,he lost him original belief when he faced difficuties.
