| 摘 要： | 在语言习惯上,＂性别歧视＂通常是指语言系统中对女性称谓的歧视。对汉英文化中的称谓语所体现出来的性别歧视进行了充分的研究,认为在英语中,与男性有关的称谓,一般都体现了一种社会认定的褒义色彩,而女性称谓形式却在不同程度上存在一些引申的贬义色彩;在汉语中,语言称谓上的＂性别歧视＂反映了中国传统文化的影响以及男女社会地位的差异。

| Abstract: | In the habitual expression of a language,＂sexual discrimination＂ refers to the discrimination of women in addressing terms.This paper probes into such a discrimination reflected in the addressing terms in the English and Chinese languages.It finds that in the English language,addressing terms of men tend to be favorable while those of women tend to be derogatory.In the Chinese language,however,＂sexual discrimination＂ in addressing terms reflects the influence of the traditional Chinese culture and it results from the difference of social status between men and women. |
