城市规模与企业全要素生产率关系的实证研究

基于1998-2007年微观企业调查数据和地级市城市规模统计数据,对城市规模和企业全要素生产率之间的关系进行研究。通过回归分析发现,城市规模每扩大1%,企业全要素生产率会相应提高0.004 7%,且二者之间存在"倒U型"关系。为避免内生性问题,进一步使用工具变量法修正回归模型,得出城市规模每扩大1%,会带来企业全要素生产率提高1.18%的结果,东中西部均无一例外。从政策制订角度看,努力推进城市化进程仍然是促进企业发展的重要抓手。

Empirical Research on the Relationship betw een U rban Scale and Total Factor Productivity of Enterprise

Based on the survey data of micro enterprises and the statistical data of prefecture-level cities scale from 1998 to 2007 ,this paper studies the causal relationship between urban scale and total factor productivity（TFP）of enterprise .The results of regression analysis show that when the urban scale increases 1% ,the enterprise TFP will also increase 0 .004 7% ,and there is an inverted Ushaped relationship between them .In order to avoid endogenous problems ,this paper uses the instrumental variable method to modify the regression model .The results show that an urban scale expansion of 1%leads to an enterprise T FP increase of 1 .18% .The positive effects are shown in the east ,middle and west regions of China without exception .In view of the policy formulation ,it is indicated that advancing the urbanization process is of great importance for promoting the enterprise development .
