图式认知论在高校专业英语教学中的运用

文章以认知理论为指导 ,分析专业英语阶段非英语专业学生头脑中已储存的图式 ,针对专业英语学习枯涩、难懂、难记的特点 ,提出了全方位激活学生图式的方法 ,以利学生克服学习困难 ,培养准确、综合运用专业英语的能力 ,并以此为目标 ,通过一系列教学活动 ,探索并初步建立了专业英语教学模式

Schema Theory and Its Application in ESP Teaching

Guided by the schema theory, the authors first explore the characteristics of ESP learning and analyse the schemata available to ESP learners, and then point out the point of view that those schemata are useful resources for ESP teaching. Thereafter a variety of classroom activities for activating the ESP learners' schemata for the purpose of smoothing away their difficulties and developing their ESP competence are discussed. Under the guidance of schema theory and by way of teaching practice, the auhtors formulate in the end a workable ESP teaching pattern.
