| Abstract: | Starting in the 1990s, there has occurred a new wave of enterprise merging around the world. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the wave with respect to scale, industries and countries, and meanwhile explores the causes of this wave in terms of the impact of economic globalization, shift of government policies and the enterprise's need for enhancement of competitiveness and increase in market share. |
