麦田守望者的悲剧性命运解读

The Catcher In The Rye was a famous fiction in USA. This article tries to analysis the reason of the tragic destiny of the dramatis personae. Holden Caulfield was a sensitive, perspicacious boy and dissatisfied with the mendacities in the society, so he tried to shuffle off the environments, look for the sincerity and love. He didn't dare and know how to do. Cynicism was his way that he resisted the mendacities. He wanted to do a catcher in the rye and to save children not to lose their sincerity. In the end, everything he did was false. He despaired and was send to the sanitarium.
