On Pound's Reference to Chinese Culture for Poetic Creation

Pound got a lot of inspiration from the painting technique and the arrangements of image and atmosphere of ancient Chinese paintings and found from the hieroglyphics in Chinese language the most concise and the most expressive examples for his image and vortex theory. Many of his poems are the re-creation of some Chinese poems based on translation. From the above stated phenomena, we can see that Pound had adopted a lot from ancient Chinese culture and ancient Chinese literature in many respects.
