非英语专业大学生的英语学习动机与激发策略

摘    要:学习动机作为一种非智力因素,是语言学习诸个体因素中最具能动性的因素之一。外语学习动机对外语学习者的学习活动和学习成绩起着不可忽视的重要作用。当前非英语专业大学生的英语学习动机可分为综合型、个人前途型、履行义务型和模糊不清型等四大类。教师应充分掌握其变化规律和特点,有针对性地采用适当的教学策略和措施,利用一定的诱因,培养和激发学生的英语学习动机。

Abstract:Study motivation is a kind of non- intelligent factors, which is one of the most active factors in language learner's personal qualities. Foreign language study motivation plays a very important role in foreign language learmers' study activity and their study performance. Recent studies show that Chinese non - English - major college students' English study motivations can be divided into four types.They are synthetic type,personal perspective type,obligation- performing type,and indistinct type. It is necessary for foreign language teachers to master their changing regularity and features so as to adopt some suitable teaching strategies and measures purposefully,and make use of some certain incentives to cultivate and stimulate college students' English study motivations.
