| Abstract: | The new English curriculum standards issued by the Educational Ministry has set up a new orientation for English course in the fundamental schools.The paper describes its peculiarities and the current state of English teaching in the fundamental schools,and makes the suggestion that English teachers′ qualities be improved under the direction of the new English curriculum standards. |
