摘 要: | 通过问卷调查的方式对艺术类专业学生英语阅读中生词的处理情况进行分析,旨在了解低水平学习者阅读策略的使用情况及篇章阅读中生词的干扰程度。研究发现:被测对象更注重生词个体意义的理解,依赖英汉双语词典及母语翻译辅助篇章理解的为多,而借助背景知识及语境进行词义推测的情况较少。根据本研究的结论,提出了能够促进学生提高阅读能力,解决生词干扰问题的建议。

Abstract: | This study reports on a study of 130 low proficient students' use of reading strategies when handling new words in English texts.The study finds that:(a)they rely heavily on English-Chinese dictionaries and L1 translation;(b)they use background knowledge to help guess the word meanings occasionally;and(c)they make intra-and inter-sentential inferences even less often.Implications for learner training and recommendations for further research are also explored. |
