| Abstract: | It is a magnificent event in the histo ry of Chinese ethnic groups that the Lao People settled down in Southwest China. It greatly promotes the fusion of ethnic groups, drastically changed the popula tion and ethnic composition and distribution, push forward the social developmen t of the Lao People, and enrich the local customs and languages of Ba-Shu area. However, it also produces negative impacts on the society, culture, and orders of Sichuan. |
