周培源与自然科学基础理论(20世纪70年代)

"文化大革命"期间,自然科学基础理论的学习和研究遭到了严重的破坏。1972年,北京大学副校长周培源应《人民日报》之约,写了《对综合大学理科教育革命的一些看法》一文。但"四人帮"反对《人民日报》发表此文,并下令将此文转给《光明日报》。文章于1972年10月6日在《光明日报》发表以后,他们又通过报刊杂志等形式对周培源及其文章进行批判。他们的行为严重破坏了中国的科学事业。"四人帮"垮台后,周培源揭露了他们破坏基础理论研究的用心是反对周总理,并不失时机地重新倡导自然科学基础理论的学习和研究。他的努力促进了中国基础科学的发展。

ZHOU Pei - yuan and Basic Theory of Natural Science in the 1970s

During the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in china,the study and research on basic theory of natural science suffered severe destruction.In 1972,ZHOU Pei-yuan,the vice-president of Beijing University,wrote an article titled with Some Views about the Revolution of Science Education in University which was promised to People's Daily.However,"the Gang of Four" which included Jiang Qing,Zhang Chunqiao,Yao Wenyuan,and Wang Hongwenopposed People's Daily to publish the article and ordered that the article was sent to Guangming Daily.After the article was published in Guangming Daily of October 6,1972,they animadverted ZHUO Pei-yuan and his article through paper,magazine etc.Their activities destroyed china science career seriously.After "The Gang of Four" fell,ZHOU Pei-yuan uncovered that their intention to destroy the study on basic theory of natural science was to oppose ZHOU En-lai who was the prime minister of the People's Republic of China.At the same time,ZHOU Pei-yuan advocated the study and research on the basic theory of natural science again.His endeavor accelerated the development of basic science in China.
