| 摘 要： | 《觉醒》是美国女作家凯特.萧邦的代表作。小说女主人公艾德娜不满足于贫乏的家庭生活,希望摆脱社会强加在妇女身上的种种枷锁,从而在最初的压抑、困惑中走向觉醒、反抗。艾德娜的觉醒经历了性觉醒、精神觉醒和彻底觉醒三个阶段,并最终选择死亡来寻找灵魂和肉体彻底的解脱。《觉醒》刻画了艾德娜痛苦的心路历程,是艾德娜生理和心灵觉醒的三部曲。

| Abstract: | The Awakening is the representative work of Kate Chopin,an American women writer.Edna,the protagonist in the novel,tired of the dull family life and hoping to get rid of the shackles imposed on women by the society,awakens from the initial depression and bewilderment to rebel.Edna goes through three phases of awakening: sexual awareness,spiritual awareness and ultimate awakening and finally chooses to die to liberate her soul and body.The three phases of biological and mental awakening in this novel depicts Edna's painful journey to awakening. |
