Western Women Literature in Light of Humanism

The cultural atmosphere of humanism promoted the formation of female intellectual's self-consciousness.They wrote their impressions and thinkings of social life in the form of literature,showing their consciousness of defending themselves as a different sex and their fighting spirit against patriarchal ideology.This thesis probes into the literary creation of elite women writers during the Renaissance to reveal the characteristic style and features of western women literature during this period.It serves as an approach to clarifying the origin and pedigree of western feminism.
