外国留学生汉语元话语使用特点研究

摘    要:为了摸清外国留学生汉语元话语使用特点,采用元话语研究领域的常规研究方法,对37封外国留学生撰写的建议信进行了分析。研究发现:(1)交互式元话语严重不足,导致话语逻辑关系交待不清;(2)使用了大量互动式元话语表达情感、态度和评价,但强调标记语过多而模糊限制语偏少,降低了话语的客观性和观点的可接受程度;(3)因对汉语元话语系统缺乏认识且受母语干扰,错误使用了部分强调标记语和交际对象介入标记语。在对外汉语教学中融入元话语知识并加强相关研究可望解决以上问题。

Abstract:This article adopts the traditional metadiscourse research method to describe how 37 international students use Chi- nesemetadiscourse markers in their letters for suggestions. The results show that there was insufficient interactive metadis- course in the students' letters, which undermines the logic of the letters. Although the students used many interactional metadiscourses, the imbalance between hedges and boosters spoiled the objectivity and acceptability of their arguments. In ad- dition, the students insufficient knowledge of Chinese metadiscourse and their mother tongue interference led to the incorrect use of some boosters and engagements. It was argued that metadiscourse should be taught to international students and more studies on Chinese metadiscourse should be conducted.
