人口控制与环境伦理

人口控制是消解人口危机、促进人与自然和谐发展的重要手段 ,也是人类必须面对的一个新的环境伦理课题。人口控制就是把人口数量控制在一个适度的范围内 ,同时不断提高人口质量。人类要有效地控制人口的过度增长 ,就要对传统生育观念进行伦理反思与批判 ,正确认识人口控制的环境道德义务与责任 ,自觉遵守人口控制的环境伦理原则。这些原则主要是 :可持续发展的原则 ;社会整体利益高于个体利益的原则 ;生育自由与生育控制相统一的原则 ;优生优育的原则

Population Control and Environmental Ethics

Population control is an important ways and means for dispelling population crisis to promote harmonic development between man and nature. It is a new question of environmental ethics for study and discussion. The population control is in the sense of keeping simultaneously the quantity of population in a moderate size to enlarge the quality of population continuously. To keep the increasing of population under effective control, the Chinese traditional idea of giving birth to bear should be put under reflection and criticism so as to recognize the necessity of the population control and observe consciously all the moral principles of environment. The moral principles of environment are mainly the principles of (a) sustainable development; (b) the interests of the society as a whole surpasses the interests of any one of the individuals of the society; (c)the integration of the freedom of giving birth to bear and birth control; (d) the freedom of bearing and rearing better children.
