| Abstract: | Australian English is a variety of English originating from British English, which accounts for the many similarities between the two varieties. This paper explores and describes the distinctive features of Australian English and the main differences between the two varieties with regard to phonetics, vocabulary and grammar. Finally, the paper predicts some possible trends. |
