| Abstract: | In Hui Zhou in the Ming and Qing dynasties, “C ha ofeng” is a title for the rich and influential people, especially for the busin essmen. In this article the author studies the title “Chaofeng” and tries to e xplain that all the Hui businessmen, from the bosses and managers to the common sales assistants, could be called “Chaofeng” and they had actually formed a sp ecial social class. |
