季羡林与东方比较文学

季羡林先生是我国东方文学学科的创建者,东方比较文学观念是他晚年学术思想的重要结晶。早在留学德国期间,季先生的东方比较文学研究即已初创;1946年开始从事的民俗学和民间文学研究,为东方比较文学学科的建立提供了理论和实践基础;50-60年代,他对中印文化进行比较研究,形成了自己独特的研究方法;新时期以来,他在比较文学中国学派的建立和东方比较文学学科的发展上做出了重要贡献。

Ji Xian-lin and Oriental Comparative Literature

Mr Ji Xian-lin is a founder of the discipline of Oriental literature.His concept of Oriental comparative literature is the fruit of his academic studies in his late life.As early as his studies in Germany,Mr Ji began his research into folklore and folk literature in the year 1946,which laid the theoretical and practical foundation on which the discipline of Oriental comparative literature was established.He initiated his own unique research method in his comparative studies during the period of 1950s-1960s.The recent decades has witnessed his important contribution to the establishment of Chinese school of comparative literature,and the development of the discipline of Oriental comparative literature.
