| Abstract: | Tang Chien(1778-1861),styled Li-sheng or Ze-weng,also known by Jing-hai or Jing-kai,was born in Shanhua,Hunan Province(Changsha county nowadays).His whole life may be divided into as three periods: the period of youth;the period of being an official and the period of retiring from political life. |
