柳永《乐章集》用典说略

Brief Analysis of Allusions in Liu Yong''''s Collected Melodies

It was wrong to take Su Shi for the first poet using allusions in Ci of the Song Dynasty.Many examples in Collected Melodies show that Liu Yong was really the first one.In using allusions,Liu Yong emphasized events rather than language.The events involved historical figures or stories familiar to the people,while language involved lines from chiefly poets from the Six Dynasties and Tang Dynasty.One word from several allusions and one allusion for many uses have become a landmark of Liu's art.Liu's use of large number of allusions marked his poetry changing from popular to elegant,thus having important significance in literary history.
