英语专业四级测试对大学英语口语教与学的影响

摘    要:自从英语专业口语测试在我国部分试点大学实施后,其反驳作用的研究便引起语言学界的关注。本文报道了一项关于缺少口语测试的英语专业四级测试对英语口语教与学的反驳作用的实证研究。调查采用调查问卷和个别访谈形式。数据来自30名英语专业学生和8名任课教师在两个不同学期对问卷和访谈的回答。研究结果显示,没有口语测试的TEM4对英语口语教学和学习都产生了负面反驳作用。为了提高学生语言交际能力及口语学习积极性,建议TEM口语测试应在大学范围内广泛采用。

Abstract:Since TEM4-SET has been adopted in part of universities in China,the study of washback effect has become a focus in language testing field.The paper reports on an investigation into the washback effect of TEM4 without spoken test on the oral English teaching and learning.Through questionnaire,interview,data collected from 30 English major students and 8 teachers at two different semesters.The results show that TEM4 without spoken test has negative washback effect on oral English teaching and learning.In order to improve students' communicative competence and initiate students learning motivation,the paper finally suggests that TEM-SET should be widely adopted in universities.
