| 摘 要： | 零形回指是话语结构中一类较为特殊的指称形式,它是一种没有语音形式、无形有义的照应手段,通过零形式从先行项那里获得指代表现出来的一种特征。根据关联理论中的"投入努力与产出效应"和"第一解读"规则,在英语语篇中使用零形回指,给语篇的理解带来的不是麻烦,而是便利。作者用最小的努力处理语篇,读者也用最小的努力解读语篇,从而取得语篇的最大关联性及连贯性。英语语篇中存在着一定量的零形回指现象这一事实,从一个侧面印证了关联理论的可应用性。关联理论为我们对这种情况下使用的零形回指提供了说服力的解释。

| Abstract: | The zero anaphora is a special kind of reference,which has no phonetic form but semantic meaning.According to the two rules of "Production Effort and Efficiency" and "First Understanding" in the Relation Theory,the zero anaphora in English discourse brings convenience instead of troubles to both the writer and the reader,and maintains the upmost relativeness and coherence in the discourse.The fact that there exists a certain number of zero anaphora accounts for,to some extend,the feasibility of TR,likewise,TR also provides reasonable explanation to the existence of the zero anaphora in the English discourse. |
