Impact of the Return of the Higher Education Cost onFairness Dealt with by Western Scholars

When dealing with the fairness problems in the field of education, two categories of supplementary methods are normally applied. The method of the first category focuses mainly on the problem of the equal education opportunities. The focal point paid attention to is who can be admitted into school. The method of the second category is to deal with the fairness problem of education from the viewpoint of distribution, stressing chiefly on the examination of whether a balance has been achieved between the payer of the education cost and the beneficiaries of education. The authors outline briefly the study results of the western scholars on the impacts of the recovery of the higher education cost on the fairness of the above two categories.
