论诗纬

诗纬为汉代三家诗及毛诗之外的一种《诗经》解释学 ,其基本性格以天人感应为核心 ,具有浓厚的神学色彩。诗纬虽已残佚 ,但其中也不乏一些可取的见解 ,包括对《诗经》的整体理解和对篇义及章句的解释。另外 ,诗纬中也保存了一些有价值的文献 ,以及富含文学性的精警文字。古代因其与经义相悖谬而予排斥 ,近代则以其语涉荒诞多说祥瑞而予否定 ,此皆无助于认识其《诗经》学史上的本来面目

On Shih-wei

Shih-wei is one of interpretation theories of shih-ching (Classic of P oetry) besides Three Families' Poetry and Mao Poetry of the Han Dynasty. Its fun dame ntal feature is to take mutual reactions between Heaven and human being as the c ore and so it bears pronounced theological color. Shih-wei still contains some v aluable understandings though some parts of it were lost. These understandings i nclude general interpretation of the meaning of each passage and each paragraph and each sentence. Besides, Shih-wei keeps some valuable historical documents an d succinct words and aphorism rich in the feature of literature. Ancient time wi tnessed the discrimination against it for the sake of its absurd interpretation against creeds while modern time witnessed the negation against it as its words were preposterous and too involved in auspicious signs. However, all these canno t help us see it in true colors in the history of Shih-ching studies.
