More than ten years of free democratic reforms of the Yeltsin's era made the Russian society get into serious trouble.In face of the ruthless reality,Russian people call for the return of political authority.After coming into power, Putin promoted the authoritarian political reforms and enhanced president's absolute power continuously.Russian history,its culture and tradition,the state of the nation and public sentiment gave a firm foundation for Putin's political reforms.However,in practice,Putin's authoritarian political reforms are facing more and more difficulties and challenges at home and abroad.In the long run,it will be a definite trend for Russia to develop democratic politics.
