李敖与台湾中西文化争论

上个世纪60年代初,台湾发生的中西文化论争是一场冲决现行文化藩篱的较量,李敖站在自由主义的立场上,以极端反潮流、反传统的姿态出场,反映了强烈的时代性,引起了社会的关注。李敖树立了一个特立独行的自由主义实践者、领跑者的形象,进行着民主思想的启蒙与唤醒。当然,争论双方对问题的偏激性表述,降低了论争的理论深度与客观性。

Li Ao and the Cultural Disputes between Chinese and Western in Taiwan

At the beginning of 1960s,it was a contest of breaking-up the current cultural barrier between Chinese culture and Western one in Taiwan.Li Ao participated in it on the pose of extreme anti-trend,against tradition,he stood the position of freedom,it reflected the strong times and arose the social concerns.Li Ao set an independent in mind and action of freedom practiser and leading runner,he enlightened and awoke some democratic thoughts.Of course,the ex- treme expressions between both sides reduced the theoretical depth and objectiveness in the dispute.
