士文化与知识分子文化的价值分野

在当代教育和文化研究中 ,我们始终没有澄清意识上的混同 ,这种混同在文化定位上主要表现为三个问题 :把中国传统的士视同今天的知识分子 ;将文化定义为有价值的人工创造 ;视西方文化为人类文化的最高形式甚至唯一形式。只有澄清这三个问题 ,我们才能发掘中华民族文化中最具生机与活力的成分 ,进而高举中国文化中人文主义的旗帜 ,为人类摆脱现代科技理性精神危机 ,做出我们的贡献

The Value Division of the Scholarship and Intellectual Cultures

In the research of contemporary education and culture, there still remains in our mind a confusion which embodies in three problems: the first is viewing traditional scholars as today' s intellectuals, thus confusing the different orientation of chinese and western cultures; the second is defining culture as a valuable human creation, the third is a utility ground regarding western culture as the highest form of human culture, and even the exclusive one. It's only after the clarification of the problems that we can dig up the most active and vigorous elements, further the step of the humanity in these culture, and make our due contribution to the human detachment from the mental crisis in modern science and technology.
