Hitting the Skids: Social Policy and the Control of Public Intoxication

Abstract

Attempts by policymakers to control public intoxication have brought only marginal success. Through an analysis of previous control models and an examination of the specific target concerns this paper endeavors to shed light upon recent public health policies affecting public intoxication control Implications of this public health model of control as applied to this particular form of deviant behavior, are discussed.
