儒家女性观之演变及反思

儒家女性观最早强调的是男女有差别而非有贵贱,其后妇德之“顺”的理念演变得日渐严苛,直至达到“夫权至上”和“贞烈”的极端。20世纪两次狂热冲击也并未真正落实“男女平等”。现代中国应反思儒家女性观,去芜存菁,从社会及女性自身两方面努力,以达致两性的和谐。

On Historic Changes of Confucianist Outlook on Women and its Modern Reflection

The original Confucianist outlook on women stated that men and women were different,not that men were superior.Gradually,the idea of "Obedience" in "Women's Virtues" became increasingly strict and finally reached the extreme of "Absolute Superiority for Men's Rights" and "Ready to Die to Preserve Her Chastity for Husband".Even the two fanatical assaults in the 20th century didn't actually realize "Equality Between Genders".In modern China,Confucianist outlook on women should be reflected objectively,essence assimilated and dross rejected.Both the society and women themselves should strive to achieve harmony between genders.
