Analysis of Generic Empiricism Ideology in Whitehead's Process Philosophy

Whitehead made＂experience＂generalized in his process philosophy. To fully understand the generic empiricism ideology is the key to seize Whitehead＇s process philosophy. It means the ＂experience＂of everything,which is what we call the generic empiricism ideology. This paper consists of three parts： firstly,it analyzes the connotation of the generic empiricism ideology under some basic concepts of Whitehead＇s process philosophy; secondly,it illustrates how the generic empiricism ideology discovered the puzzle of mind-body dualism in comparison of two ideologies; finally,it teus us the generic empiricism ideology which is based on hypothesis offers theoretical foundation for the present environmental protection theme.
