| 摘 要： | 约翰·福尔斯是一位优秀的英国后现代主义小说家。其代表作《法国中尉的女人》传递和宣扬了存在主义自由精神。这种自由精神既是萨特存在主义哲学思想的影响,又是福尔斯基于个人成长经历所形成的对社会不公正和不平等的认识和思索;实际上,这种自由既是绝对的,又是相对的,是一种不停变化和不停发展的动态的自由观。

| Abstract: | John Fowles is one of the excellent English postmodern novelists. His representative works The French Lieutenant's Woman conveys the spirit of existential freedom. This kind of the spirit of freedom is under the influence of Sartre's concept of existential freedom, and also a view of freedom of John Fowles,which is based on the knowledge of the inequality and injustice of the society. In fact, the view of freedom in this novel is a combination of the absolute and the relative, and a process of constant change, pursuit and development. |
