| 摘 要： | 象征是一种非常宝贵的文学手法,小说家或剧作家通常采用象征手法来帮助表现人物性格或展现作品的主题。从事物的象征意义、颜色的象征意义及人物的象征意义三方面来探讨象征手法在《了不起的盖茨比》中的运用,从而进一步领会作者的写作意图极其反映的深刻社会意义。
