Discussing the Influence of the Gutian Congress Resolution on the Yan'an Rectification Movement

The 1929 Gutian Congress and the 1942 Yan ＇an Rectification Movement were two significant events that created the ideological basis of the Chinese Communist Party. These two events were closely related even though they took place 13 years apart. The Gutian Congress established the Party＇s absolute leadership over the Army and laid the foundation of the ideological and political education for both the Party and the Army; while based on the spirit of the Gutian Congress, thorough Marxism Theory education was carried out during the Yan＇an Rectification Movement in order to unite the Party from its ideological basis.
