| Abstract: | Abstract The adoption of infants and very young children will be affected in the future by a range of forces that affect the supply and demand sides of adoption. Demographic trends and social, technological, and economic factors bearing on adoption seeking and relinquish-ment will be critical factors. These forces will have important implications for adoption policy and practice and warrant careful consideration in relation to both infant adoption and the adoption of other children whose needs for adoptive families will continue into the future. |
