本文从符号信息论的观点对等效翻译的概念、过程、原则、目标及效果的观点进行了剖析 ,指出等效翻译论的许多基本概念、提法自相矛盾 ,尤其是把信息与效果等同起来 ,并进一步指出其实质是追求译作与原文的信息对等而不是其所说的效果对等

Opposite view on equivalent effect

This paper analysizes the perspective of the semiotics information theory the definition, the process, the principle, the aim and the effect of translation presented by the theory of equivalent effect. The author points out that many statements, esp.some basic definitions in the theory of equivalent effect contradict each other, which particularly shows in equating information with effect. It is further put forward that the theory of equivalent effect actually pursues the information equivalence between the original text and the translation, not what is called effect equivalence.
