On Cultural Identity Development In The Process Of China-ASEAN Cooperation

The Free Trade Area of China-ASEAN has increasingly become the influential area. China-ASEAN cooperation is a process of full interaction and integration of polities, economy, culture and society. In this process, cultural identity plays an important and fundamental role. The historical and recent practices show that China-ASEAN cultural identity establishment is quite feasible. But in the process of its development, both sides should respect their differences, actively seek the coheranee points of both values, and on this basis, build a core value system of regional cooperation beyond the ideological differences, while gradually institutionalizing and legalizing China-ASEAN cultural identity.
