The Approaches and Problems of Acculturation Research in Intercultural Communication

Acculturation has been one of the hot issues in the study of intercultural communication abroad.The study has been carried out in the different fields of psychology,communication and anthropology,which has developed into remarkable theories.However,because of different concerns,epistemologies and methodologies,acculturation research takes on a complicated view.This paper analyses and reflects on different approaches to acculturation research in order to explore their interdisplinary connection and divergence.Only with wide sphere of vision,diverse methods and rich fields of knowledge can acculturation research in intercultural communication prosper.
