实验用3mm绕射辐射振荡器

摘    要:介绍3mm绕射辐射振荡器的阶段研究成果,简述分析设计步骤、线性理论、三维计算及热测结果。实验管测试的主要参量为:工作电压2400~4000V;频率f=84~104GHz范围内测得高频振荡,最大输出功率达100mW。

Abstract:The diffraction radiation oscillator,called DRO for short or Orotron,is a sort of new vacuum electronic device with an open resonator and a reflecting grating in millimeter and submillimeter band.This device is based on the Smith-Purcell effect.In a sense,DRO is called a Smith-Purcell effect free electron laser.In the paper,initial test results of 3 mm DRO are reported .The main experimental results are:from 2400 V to 4000V the tube operates in 84-104 GHz band,and the maximum output power is about 100 mw.The design method of the device,linear theory and 3 dimension numerical simulation are introduced in brief.
