百万以上少数民族老龄化程度的分层测算

Layered Calculation on Aging Degree of One-million Population Ethnic Minorities

Population aging is a major social problem. Aging degree is conventionally indentified through the proportion of el- derly people in the whole population, but with regard to population development and age structure classifications, traditional aging degree indentifying method based on the single percentage index lacks strictness for academic research and guidance value for theory application. This essay try to find out specific differences between the aging courses of various ethnic groups, provide references for government strategies to slow down population aging rates and ensure a harmony regional economic de- velopment despite existing aging problems in ethnic groups. This essay gives new detailed research on 18 ethnic groups＇ aging degree in a layered calculation method. Every minority involved in the research has a population of over than one million peo- ple. The research covers statistics from the fourth, fifth, sixth national census. The essay presents age structures of national populations recorded in 1990, 2000 and 2000 as well as analysis 18 groups＇ age structure types,aging degrees and differ- ences. Quantitative results from the research in the essay can provide data support for specific national strategy making.
