语用推理与话语理解

以Sperber和Wilson的关联理论为指导,探讨了语用推理在话语理解的两个阶段——对明示意义的理解和对隐含意义的理解中的作用。在解读明示意义的过程中,语用推理的作用主要表现为识别歧义,收窄和拓宽概念编码的意义。在明示意义的基础上,听话人借助语用推理机制推导出话语的隐含前提和隐含结论,从而理解说话人的话语意图,完成语言交际。

Pragmatic Reference and Interpretation of Utterance

Guided by Sperber and Wilson's relevance theory, this paper explores the functions of pragmatic inference at the two stages of utterance interpretation. In interpreting the explicatures of the utterance, the listener employs his mechanism of pragmatic inference to disambiguate, to narrow and loosen the conceptual encodings. Based on the explicaturs, he further infers the implicit premises and conclusions and finally arrives at the accomplishment of communication.
