| Abstract: | The article bases itself upon the intersection between traditional and modern culture and from four points of view, it clarifies Pu Songling's complicated feelings and moods when he created the work.It summarizes the cause of the formation of the four typical stories in the book as well. Meanwhile, it reflects Pu Songling's frustrations in his lifetime as a peculiar writer in the literary circles and of course, it also reflects the social life of that time. |
