志怪小说是古代小说的重要小说类型.纵观志怪小说的发展史,文人的创作心态和接受心态由于受时代价值取向和审美心理的影响而发生了较大变化,对志怪小说的本体价值产生了不同的看法.依据这种变化,我们将志怪小说史大致分为三个时期,并分别指出各个时期的主导价值取向,本文主要分析这些取向的表现和成因,探寻其递变的文化规律.

Evolution of Ontic Values of Ghost Novels in Ancient China

Ghost novels are an important type of fiction in ancient China. An overview of the history of ghost novels shows that the psychology of writing and accepting these novels in literary circles has undergone considerable changes, as writers subject to the influence of values and aesthetical mentality of their own times have different opinions on the ontic value of these novels. In accordance with the changes, we divide the history of ghost novels into three periods, and discuss the dominant values of each of them. The paper analyses the manifestations and origins of these different values, and probes into the cultural laws embedded therein.
