Technology Criticism and Its Psychological Root

This thesis generalizes the basic points of technology criticism,which include technology destroying the nature,degrading the human dignity, dominating society, and causing the danger. It suggests that the social psychological response to technology is one of the important reasons resulting in the rise of technology criticism. It also analyzes technology criticism from the point of view of social psychology and claims that psychological root of technology criticism involves the aspiration for freedom and harmony, the experience of contradiction for expectation and disappointment to modern technology, the anxiety and phobia to the negative effects of technology application and the traditional religious psychology.
